The busy busy life of a theatre reviewer.

It has been another busy old week in the reviewing world of East Midlands Theatre.com with a mixed collection of shows and concerts to see and review. Those have included The Rocky Horror Show (touring) at Nottingham Theatre Royal, Legally Blonde at Curve Leicester, Citizen Khan at Nottingham Royal Concert Hall and Shopping and F***ing at Nottingham New Theatre (Nottingham University).

Recent highlights have been Jodie Prenger in Tell Me On A Sunday at Nottingham Royal Concert Hall, Kings at Nottingham Playhouse, Oedipus at Lakeside, A Midsummer Night's Dream at The Lace Market Theatre, Wipers at Curve Leicester, Noises Off at Nottingham Playhouse and Jesus Christ Superstar ESNA Players at Loughborough Town Hall.

Before I go to Germany in mid May for a theatre twinning event I am down to review Benefactors at The Lace Market Theatre, Evita - Christchurch Theatre Club at Loughborough Town Hall, A Midsummer Night's Dream RSC and Lovelace Theatre, and The Government Inspector at Nottingham Playhouse. Week beginning Monday 9th May I will be reviewing two dance shows, Flamenco Edition at Lakeside and Nederlands Dans Theater at Nottingham Royal Concert Hall plus Adult Child-Dead Child at Nottingham Playhouse.

Next week Sardines magazine are publishing three pieces of my writing; a piece about the first ever adult amateur production of Cats by Christchurch Theatre Club; a piece about The Lace Market Theatre's journey to Karlsruhe and an interview with two of the major lights at Nottingham New Theatre.

June looks like being just as full of shows and events to see and review for myself and my website at East Midlands Theatre.com.

PS: Apologies for recent lack of content on this site. As you can perceive I have been very busy with my writing and also holding down a full time job to pay the bills!
